Fernando Gallego (Pontevedra City, Spain, 1973) grew up amongst tools and precious metals. It was his father, master goldsmith, who taught him from a very young age the techniques and secrets of the trade but, above all, he passed down his perfectionism and love for well-made pieces that last forever.
His education was supplemented with courses of design, metallurgy, chemistry and gemology, which further enriched his quality as an goldsmith. At the same time, he combined these studies with his other two passions: Ancient History and travelling.

This combination would come to result in his most famous creation, the Antiques Collection, made up of one-of-a-kind pieces with genuine antiques, which permit the client to possess and wear at the same time an exquisite piece of jewelry and a certified antique that encapsulates hundreds of years of history. Always starting from his respect and love for history, Fer brings these small treasures back to life, converting them in luxurious jewels.
In 2001, teaming up with his wife, the designer Paula Iglesias, they inaugurated their workshop, museum and shop in Serra de Outes, a small town in the Northwest of Spain, between the mountains and the sea.
From there he constantly travels the world, searching for the antiques and inspiration that he will use in his creations, which are sold all over the world and are especially sought out by lovers of unique jewelry and collectors
His belief is that jewelry can and should be something more than a mere accessory, reflecting the personality of the person who wears it. It´s beautiful that they can become part of our history, transform into symbols of the best moments of our lives, in containers of good memories and emotions. That is how they reach their highest value.
Fer was the winner of the Madrid Joya Prize 2019, bestowed by the Asociation Of Signature Jewelry of Spain and also won the 2020 ProArt and Culture Group Prize. His works have been exhibited in the Madrid National Museum of Decorative Arts and his pieces are often worn by famous people in the film, television or art worlds.
